About Melissa
Melissa McGoff was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and the youngest of three children to an Italian-American family. From the age of 3, Melissa knew that singing was her passion and began taking the stage for friends and family alike. Her first major performance was at age 11 performing the original track “Fallin’ Again” that she cowrote with Joe “Flash” Orlando of The New York Hitmen at a local charity event for Epilepsy. Not long after, she was asked to hit the stage at Madison Square Garden to perform for the NYC Music & Film Festival.
This performance began her career that has spanned three decades of recording and performing all over the country and the world. Some of her most known performances have occurred in Jamaica, Germany, South Africa & Japan. In 2007, Melissa linked up with Art Page of A.P.A. Music Consulting International and toured her original track “Around The Globe” (Produced by Leptune “Pen Platinum of 7Seas) throughout Germany Europe while it hit the charts.
Following that tour, Melissa linked up with producer Shuji Hirose on her remix of the infamous song “Say A Little Prayer” (originally performed by Aretha Franklin).She took to the stage at the Winter Music Conference in Miami (2009 & 2010) alongside performers such as music legend Melba Moore.
In 2016 she released her latest album “One Way” produced by Grammy Award-Winning producer Frankie Biggz Lucio which has taken Spotify and iTunes by storm.
While working on her original music, Melissa has spent the last ten years performing the National Anthem over three dozen times for professional sports teams such as The NY Knicks, The Brooklyn Nets, The Mets, The Islanders and various other sports teams. From MSG & Barclays, to the Ronald McDonald House, she has performed for hundreds of thousands of sports fans and some incredible charities.
Currently she is working alongside myFace which is an incredible charity supporting those born with craniofacial differences. There, she is performing and mentoring young aspiring vocalists to perform to their fullest potential.
The American Bombshells is another place that Melissa has lent her voice over the past four years. This non-profit organization is world renowned for it’s take on the vintage sounds of the Andrew Sisters and post-modern jukebox tunes. The Bombshells travel the world performing for the troops, veterans, wounded warriors & fans. Melissa has toured in Arizona, on a Norwegian Cruise Line to Alaska and in Sasebo, Japan to perform with the trio.
Besides her love for singing, Melissa has acted in several commercial spots including Nutrisystem, LuMesh Cosmetics, and even starred in a supporting role alongside Fredro Starr (Onyx) in the indie film Diamond Ruff. She's studied acting for over a decade with renowned acting Coach Reno Venturi. From comedy, drama and improv, Melissa is multi-faceted in her craft.
Whether its singing at her usual residency at HGU in Manhattan or lending her voice to a commercial with a jingle or voice over, Melissa is constantly taking her talents to new heights.
